    Introduction

Firstly it is important you revise thoroughly as soon as possible (You can also use the APP on your phone but it is in no way a substitute for this site as you don't get feedback and resources to revise from.)

You may have a few questions on what is involved in becoming a driver for Rotala. Here I will try and answer questions.

    • How long does it take to be fully trained?

This entirely up to how well you perform. The usual process is:-

    1. Day 1 Induction.

    1. In the first week you will be expected to take your Theory, Hazard Perception and Case Study Test. (You will need to prepare for this in your own time)

    1. By the end of the second or third week you will be looking at taking your driving test and Mod 4 test.

    1. You will then be route trained and mentored in how to do the job properly.

    • Do I need to prepare?

Yes, it is very important you prepare yourself for all tests. You may receive extra help, but it is important you revise thoroughly in home study time.

    • What if I fail a test?

Again, this is entirely up to you. If you are showing potential and working hard you will be given a second chance and in some exceptional cases a third (You may be asked to pay for the third test)

    • What must I wear?

You must wear smart clothes and sensible shoes.

    • How can I revise?

You can use the following Moodle site which will help (Many important courses below), a Theory revision book and phone apps will help a lot. You can also ask your trainer questions.

    • Is it as easy as passing the car test?

No - Your knowledge needs to be much higher to pass all tests.

    • Does everybody pass?

I cannot lie, but not everybody makes it to become a PCV driver. It all depends on your skills and ability to learn.

    • How do I use this website?

You must start revision as soon as possible. To do this you must:-

    1. Familiarise yourself with the different parts of the test.
    2. Start with Theory and Hazard. Enrol in courses and revise each topic. You will be tested soon after coming into training.
    3. You will also need to Enrol and practice case study. You will be expected to sit the test straight after passing your theory.
    4. Make sure you know your stuff (read the essential reading). You don't need to do this all at once try and link it to revising for Mod 1 and 2 tests.
    5. Most important you need to try and complete as much revision before you start in training.

Finally Good luck and get prepared.

    Thanks
